I tried the free Wispr Flow voice dictation tool everyone's talking about - and I'm hooked

TL;DR

Wispr Flow is a dictation app for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and the basic version is free. In hands-on use it feels noticeably more pleasant than classic voice dictation apps, with smoother dictation across all four platforms. The reviewer simply kept using it after the test. If you write a lot, it is worth a try.

Nauti's Take

Dictation is one of the few AI use cases with an immediately measurable advantage: heavy writers save real minutes per day, and the free tier makes testing risk free. The catch is data handling, since voice dictation usually runs through the provider's servers, which gets awkward with client data or anything confidential.

For notes, newsletters and first drafts the switch pays off, while confidential work is still better served by on-device dictation.
