## TL;DR

Adobe has added a feature to the mobile version of Lightroom for iOS, iPadOS and Android that opens closed eyes in photos with a single tap using generative AI, The Verge reports.

## Summary

Adobe has added a feature to the mobile version of Lightroom for iOS, iPadOS and Android that opens closed eyes in photos with a single tap using generative AI, The Verge reports. When the app detects that a person or group has their eyes closed, it automatically shows a new Open Eyes Quick Action as an icon over the image. A similar feature has existed in Photoshop Elements for nearly a decade, though Elements takes the replacement eyes from another photo. It remains unclear how Lightroom generates the new eyes and whether processing happens on the device or in Adobe's cloud.

## Nauti's Take

The advantage is clear: group photos without a second chance can be rescued right on the phone. The catch: generated eyes may fail to match the person, and with client photos there is the question of how closely an image still reflects the real moment. Photographers should test the feature on different faces and clarify for commissioned work whether such edits are allowed.
