X has a slightly more functional photo editor now

X is rolling out an update to its in-app photo editor that gives users the ability to edit photos with xAI's Grok, blur faces and overlay text on images. Grok integration in X's photo editor is a sensible feature that shows how xAI products are gradually being embedded into the platform. The real question is what data gets collected — especially around face detection and blur features.
Regular X users get a better tool, but should keep a close eye on the privacy terms.
