Is the US government’s Anthropic ban accidentally helping the brand?

The ban looks like unpaid brand marketing for Anthropic: being deemed too dangerous for the market makes the company sound like the most powerful player in the room. That does not mean Anthropic is blameless.

It helped build the Mythos mythology and cannot be surprised when politicians take that story literally. Bad regulation plus sharp safety marketing has created a very effective aura machine.
