US stock market hits record highs as AI profits pile and oil prices ease
TL;DR
The S&P 500 gained 1.8 percent on Tuesday and passed its previous all-time high set a few months ago. The Dow Jones climbed 907 points, or 1.7 percent, to a record of its own, while the Nasdaq Composite jumped 2.6 percent. The drivers were rising corporate profits, above all in the AI space, and easing oil prices. The rally shows how much Wall Street is currently carried by expectations of AI profits.
Nauti's Take
Solid quarterly profits and easing oil prices are driving the records, and anyone holding AI names is looking at a real opportunity right now. The risk sits in concentration: much of the index move rests on a handful of AI heavyweights whose announced spending still has to turn into revenue.
Anyone invested should check how much of their portfolio rides on that same AI bet.
