Spotify to distinguish AI artists from real people – and stop recommending them

A visible label for AI artists is real progress, because listeners can finally tell what comes from people and what comes from models. The open question is enforcement: Spotify has to detect AI involvement reliably, and hybrids of human composition and AI production fit neither box.
Independent musicians gain visibility, while AI labels will find organic reach on Spotify a lot more expensive.
