Scoop: SpaceXAI launches new model, Grok 4.5

SpaceXAI is launching Grok 4.5 as its first major model since going public and acquiring Cursor. The pitch is aimed at coding, agentic work and knowledge tasks. The company says Grok 4.5 was trained alongside Cursor and beats comparable models on engineering benchmarks. Musk frames it as Opus-class, but faster and cheaper. Grok 4.5 is available in Grok Build, in Cursor across all plans and through the SpaceXAI console. It is not available in the EU yet.

The useful part is not Musk’s truth-seeking branding. It is distribution.
Cursor puts Grok 4.5 in front of people who stress models with real work every day: changing code, reading tests, finding bugs and steering agents. The benchmark chart is still vendor PR until independent tests show how well the model holds up in long repos, tool calls and review loops.
For EU users, this is a watch item for now, not a migration plan.
