Plaud is launching AI earbuds
TL;DR
Plaud has introduced a new AI wearable that's designed to record, transcribe, and summarize your conversations, only this time it looks like earbuds instead of a pin. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be worn like traditional earbuds or used through its standalone charging case, and the case includes built-in 4G to upload and process conversations without relying on your phone or Wi-Fi to stay connected.
Nauti's Take
The form factor is the actual news: earbuds do not stand out in a meeting, and the 4G case makes recording independent of a phone, a real opportunity for anyone who has to log conversations anyway. The catch is the same as with any body worn recorder: consent from the other side is a legal requirement in Europe, not a courtesy.
Six hours of recording and 32MB of storage also cap everyday use.
