Stargate UK collapsing is a reality check: even the boldest AI investment plans can unravel under the weight of energy costs and regulatory friction. The upside for other regions is real - countries offering affordable energy and pragmatic AI policy just became more attractive to global AI infrastructure investors.

European governments should take this as both a warning and an opportunity.
