The Guardian's survey signals that AI-conducted interviews have moved from experimental to mainstream. There's a legitimate efficiency case: AI interviews reduce costs and allow candidate screening at volume.
The real concern is transparency and fairness: candidates often don't know what's being measured or how AI assessments are calibrated, creating accountability gaps that are hard to challenge and potentially discriminatory.
