Centralised task management is the most useful part of this update, and the upside is obvious: for most teams, to-dos sit scattered across Teams, Outlook and Planner. The catch is lock-in.
The deeper Copilot bundles those tasks, the more expensive it becomes to move off Microsoft. Teams already living fully inside the Microsoft stack benefit right away.
Mixed-tool shops should first check which apps actually get connected.
